About CrewComm

To help production crews communicate seamlessly without disrupting the moments they work so hard to create.

The Story Behind CrewComm

I've spent years volunteering as a musician and tech hand at my local church. Whether I was on stage, running front-of-house sound, or operating the livestream, one problem kept coming up: communication.

Our FOH desk and livestream booth were in completely different spaces. During sound check, we'd need to coordinate levels, fix issues, and make adjustments - but talking meant walking across the venue or shouting over the music. During live services, any communication risked being picked up by microphones or distracting the congregation.

We tried personal messaging apps, but they came with their own problems - notifications from family and friends, work messages popping up mid-service, and conversations getting lost in endless group chats.

I built CrewComm because I needed something purpose-built for this exact situation: a simple, focused tool that lets tech crews coordinate silently and stay on the same page without any distractions.

What We Believe In

The values that guide how we build CrewComm

Simplicity

No bloat, no unnecessary features. CrewComm does one thing and does it well - keeping your crew connected during live events.

Non-Obtrusive

Your audience should never know you're communicating. Silent, discreet, and designed for low-light environments.

Reliability

When you're live, it has to work. Built on enterprise-grade infrastructure so you can trust it when it matters most.

Purpose-Built

Not a general chat app trying to fit your workflow. Every feature is designed around how production teams actually work.

Crew-First

Built by someone who's been in the booth. We understand the pressures of live production because we've lived them.

Privacy

Your crew conversations stay with your crew. No ads, no data selling, no distractions from personal messages.

Made in New Zealand

CrewComm is built in Christchurch, New Zealand - but designed for production crews everywhere.
